Shines truly is a family business based in Donegal, Ireland. Husband and wife team John and Marianne both have backgrounds in the fish world. John worked as a fisherman for many years and Marianne was a fish buyer in the Basque country. Their daughter Ciara has also joined the Shines team.

John and Marianne began sourcing Wild Albacore Tuna when they owned their own fish shop but quickly discovered this was harder than they thought. They began working with local fishermen and the Shines brand was born.
