Brewed according to the strict 504 year old Reinheitsgebot German Beer Purity Laws, this traditional lager is vegan and made from just three ingredients – officially designated mineral water, locally grown barley and Hallertau hops. Hofmeister Helles is 100% slow brewed colder and for longer than other lagers. The result is an incredibly well-balanced lager that’s clean and refreshing with an ABV of 5%. Delicious on its own, it’s also great with a meal because of its gentle carbonation and crisp taste. For those that remember, Hofmeister was a mass-produced pale lager, hugely popular in the eighties and nineties. Production ceased in 2003 and that could well have been the end of a once much-loved brand had it not been for our current founders.
