Botanicals infused with the sun, for enjoyment with friends under the sun
Gin d’Azur makes the most of its Provençal botanicals. Each one has been harvested at its aromatic peak, and then they’re all distilled separately.
Distilled and bottled in Cognac, France
Crafted by master distillers using open flame pot distillation. ”The Gin d’Azur name brings so many sights, smells and tastes to mind, from the Mediterranean and salt flats to the rolling fields of lavender and fresh herbs. Gin d’Azur captures and combines these essences with balance and depth. It is fragrant on the nose and you can instantly identify aromas of the Fresh Riviera”.
Provençal botanicals
The finest botanicals from the breadth of the Côte d’Azur – The botanical list includes lavender, Menton lemon peel, marjoram, mountain savory, rosemary, star anise, thyme and the all-important juniper, along with a touch of Camargue salt. Distinctly herbal and bright, with thyme and marjoram standing out. Juniper is crisp and earthy, while the lemon peel brings lightness to the flavor profile.
???? TASTING NOTE – Distinctly herbal and bright, with thyme and marjoram standing out. Juniper is crisp and earthy, while the lemon peel brings lightness to the flavour profile.
???? THE BOTANICALS – The botanical list includes lavender, Menton lemon peel, marjoram, mountain savory, rosemary, star anise, thyme and the all important juniper, along with a touch of Camargue salt.
???? DISTILLED SEPARATELY – Each of the botanicals is distilled separately to achieve the ideal conditions for their respective distillation, before being blended. The final touch is the subtle addition of ‘sel de Camargue’ – salt from the Camargue salt flats in the South of France.
???? REVIEW – On the palate, juniper, thyme, lemon peel and lavender take centre stage and are skilfully combined. There’s complexity throughout, including in the finish which sees hints of anise and a very subtle salinity. With a dash of tonic the drier herbaceous notes and anise develop further and make for a crisp and flavoursome serve. Rosemary and lemon make for ideal garnish starting points.
