Mezcal Sangre de Vida is produced in keeping with an old production method, transmitted from generation to generation. The agave hearts (Piñas) are harvested by hand, cut into pieces and cooked slowly in a big pit in the ground. After the cooking process is the juice from the agave pieces the usage of the so-referred to as “Tahoma-Rades” extracted and stored in wooden casks, where it ferments slowly of course. Sangre de Vida is distilled twice in pot style. This very slow and labour-intensive process is carried out with great care to make sure the highest purity and quality of this spirit. Mezcal Reposado rests in American white oak barrels for a minimum of 60 days, monitored continuously by the Maestro Mezcalero. Right through aging, the mezcal wins his special and complex properties. After about 2 months, the Maestro Mezcalero Isaias Martinez did his art and approved the filling of Mezcal Sangre de Vida. Technical data: -ALK.
