Jogaila black rum is created by several distillations of 100% real sugar cane in a copper cauldron. Subsequently, a specific aging process takes place in oak barrels after a delicious 8-year-old Nestville Whiskey Master Blender, which was named the best European whiskey for 2019 by Jim Murray (Whiskey Bible). Blending takes place exclusively in wooden oak vats, which are made of European oak.
About GARGARA SPIRITS:
All over one of our many trips around Europe we made up our minds to take a break in a small village at the bottom of Tatra mountains. We stopped in a local bar and ate wonderful food followed by delicious coffee. When we were ready to leave the waitress gave us a local spirit to prepare us for a cold weather waiting for us outside. After first sip we fell absolutely in love! It had a unique aroma that we never tasted before. We asked: “Where did you get such an exquisite drink?!”. This is how we came around to visiting a small distillery in the midst of the mountains close by. It was the most modern distiller in this part of Europe! On the other hand, this did not stop them from following hundreds of years old traditions and recipes. We were invited for an out of this world tour. Obviously, our visit could end without a tasting session! We at all times wanted to work for ourselves, we just didn’t know what we wanted to do. After this go back and forth we in spite of everything found an idea for our venture! We ordered first 3 boxes of the whiskey we tasted back in Slovakia, and we organized a few tasting sessions to see what potential clients thought. They couldn’t experience the scenery we did but they all still loved it! This is how the story of Gargara’s success begins…
