The 2007 release of Brora is the sixth official release of 30 year old whisky from the distillery by Diageo. This actual expression scored a very impressive 93 points from Whiksyfun;s Serge Valentin, probably the most leading experts on vintage Brora. Powerful, peaty and complex, this has a a very balanced savoury character to it.
Formerly referred to as Clynelish, Brora has been closed since 1983, after a new distillery used to be built next-door in 1967, and assumed the Clynelish name and in the end sole distilling responsibilities. The unique distillery bottlings are rare and increasingly more wanted. That is one in all 2958 bottles released.
