New peated whisky from the Glasgow Distillery. Crafted by smoking the finest barley with aromatic heather-wealthy peat from the Scottish Highlands, 1770 Peated combines the exceptionally pure water of Loch Katrine and has been sparsely handmade within the distillery’s two distinctive copper pot stills, Tara and Mhairi.
Matured in first fill ex-sherry casks and finished in virgin oak, 1770 Peated is an elegant and complicated smoky single malt, with hints of flamed orange zest and wealthy caramel toffee resulting in more than a few dark earthy fruits. The finish is long and smooth with lingering notes of macadamia and spice.

Nose – Sweet smoke and dried fruits with aromatic notes, flamed orange zest and wealthy caramel toffee.
Palate – Spicy orange and sweet smoke with wealthy velvety toffee resulting in earthiness and dark fruit.
Finish – Long and smooth and with lingering notes of macadamia and spice.
