The Pogues is the official Irish Whiskey of the legendary band of the similar name.
The Pogues Irish Whiskey is a moderately distinctive blend which is created by the use of a 10 year old Irish single malt Whiskey which has been aged in Sherry oak casks and a 7 year old Irish single malt Whiskey which has been aged in Bourbon oak casks to make up 50% of the blend.
This is punctiliously blended with a 4 year old Irish grain Whiskey which has been aged in Bourbon oak casks to make up the opposite 50%.
The resulting Whiskey has an aroma of cereal, malts and cracked nuts, with an actual sweet nutty style and a smooth, intense flavour.
