Beautiful mix of all natural unpasteurised organic Bulgarian honey in a gift box. Pure, coarse-filtered honey from small-scale traditional beekeepers, and all the time 100% RAW! The set includes: 3 x 250g jars of Lime, Oak and Coriander organic Raw Honey from beekeeper Plamen. The Raw Organic Lime honey has a heady floral aroma strongly reminiscent of linden blossoms. It makes us think of springtime picnics surrounded by flowers. The flavour is in a similar fashion powerful, almost as though the flowers themselves might be in the honey. In addition to the strong linden taste, it reminds us of sweet violets and has a pleasingly mild acidity, which makes the honey not particularly sweet – fairly abnormal for lighter – coloured honeys. Plamen’s Raw Organic Oak honey has a direct and strong, dark aroma, which actually suits this rich and flavourful honey. Strong mineral flavours remind us of blackstrap molasses. The dark sweetness of dried fruits such as prunes and dates comes through, finishing moderately quickly with a very faint lingering of clove or cinnamon. Plamen’s Raw Organic Coriander honey is reputed to have benefits for digestion and gut health as a result of the effects of the small amount of coriander oil the bees carry back with them at the same time as they forage. These types of honey tend to set quickly, have large crystals and have a light floral taste. Plamen is a natural, traditional, organic-certified beekeeper, following on from generations of family beekeepers before him. He lives with his wife and son in a little stone and wood house, sat in a meadow, faced by beehives.
