Product Description
Organic Wildflower Honey
Raw honey is said to be wealthy in remedial enzymes and health giving properties. Our honey selection comes from two very good smallholder beekeeping families in Sicily and Lazio.
Mauro Pagliaccia working with other likeminded Italian beekeepers, produces our Acacia, Chestnut, Heather, Sunflower, Wildflower and Woodland Honeydew honeys, moving his five hundred hives over the territory surrounding his home at the shores of Lake Bolsena, in what was once the center of Ancient Etruria, now northern Lazio.
The Oliva circle of relatives are beekeepers of five generations, at the lands surrounding Siracusa, in Sicily. They currently make the outstanding Seggiano Wild Thyme, Wild Carrot, Orange Blossom, Sulla and Sicilian Thistle Honeys.
- Cold extracted, raw, unblended honeys
- GM crops are banned in Italy – the honeys are GM free
- Since 2013 Seggiano has contributed 2% honey revenue to the Bug Life charity.
