Prosciutto di San Daniele is produced by 31 companies within the municipality of San Daniele del Friuli, within the province of Udine in a way strictly defined by its Production Regulation which has the force of law. Simplest hams that meet the entire parameters are certified and on them is branded the mark of the Consortium, which contains the manufacturer ID code and constitutes certification and warranty item.
