Since we started The Biltong man journey, the question Terri and I get asked most often is “Do you are making Droëwors (Dried Spiced Beef sausage, no pork Just Beef)? The Biltong Man Droëwors range has taken its first step with the launch of our South African Traditional Droëwors flavour infused with a blend of traditional spices & healthy fats.
Droëwors is a Traditional South African dried beef sausage, based on the original, coriander-seed spiced boerewors sausage and eaten as tasty nutritious snack. Droëwors is popular with all age groups and fitness enthusiasts because of its high protein, natural Creatine and healthy fat content. It is on a regular basis made from dun wors (Afr. “thin sausage”) fairly than dik wors (“thick sausage”), as the thinner sausage dries more quickly and is thus less likely to spoil before it may be preserved. Our original beef droëwors is made the usage of a traditional South African recipe. It is coarsely ground and mildly spiced with cloves and coriander.
We use only premium ground beef and spices (coriander, course salt and pepper)
We slow dry our drywors the usage of the same South African method of our Ancestors
