The rums used to make XM Royal Gold are first aged in bourbon casks for over 9 years. Before being subject to an excessively demanding variety process. Simplest rums of the very best quality are decided on for blending. Once blended, the rum is then filled into Sherry wine casks for an extra 6 months.
