The 2019 liberate of 1770 Glasgow Single Malt Scotch Whisky. Combining the finest Scottish barley and exceptionally pure water of Loch Katrine. Matured in first fill ex-bourbon casks, finished in virgin white oak and non-sit back filtered; 1770 is incredibly smooth, exceptionally fruity and sophisticated; a single malt of chic quality that continues the upward push of a brand new whisky era in Glasgow.
Official Tasting Notes
Nose – Dried dark fruits with tropical undertones at the nose, followed by hints of biscuit, oak and freshly cut grass.
Palate – Sweet butterscotch with a crème brulee char at the pallet. Hints of freshly sliced pear, dried figs, dates and raisin with sweet almond, honey and creamy shortbread notes.
Finish – An extended finish of thickly unfold orange marmalade, nutmeg notes underpinned by complex woodiness and a slight spice.
