Assaranca Vodka is a premium vodka, inspired by the famed wonderful thing about the vast Donegal landscape and the lovely waterfall at Assaranca, close to the village of Ardara. Sliabh Liag Distillers take a soft triple distilled grain spirit, which is then redistilled within the presence of rowan berries and hand-picked gorse flowers. Rowan and gorse are two native plants that shower the vast landscapes of Donegal with a bright splash of colour. At the same time as Rowan Trees bear their bright red berries in overdue summer and early autumn, gorse (or whinbushes) flower almost all year round. Their brilliant yellow flowers have the unmistakable scent of coconut which wafts lazily across bogs and mountains on heat summer days. The overall distillation of Assaranca within the 500-litre copper pot still leads to an excellent soft vodka.
